Annotations: The process of motivating the organization may be complex, ambiguous and very problematic. While theories offer a number of options, their application in practice does not always yield positive results. The study analysed the main classical theory of motivationas well as the theory, the practical realities of the labour market in Low Novgorod.

Introduction
Today, improving the management of Russian enterprises is inconceivable without actively mobilizing human resources. It is human beings, their labour force and their desire to achieve their goals, their knowledge and value systems, and their creativity enables any organization to function effectively. Therefore, one of the main tasks for enterprises of different forms of ownership is to find effective means of motivation that will reinvigorate the human factor.
It is important to note that modern management is increasingly interested in staff management techniques, aware of the urgency and need to address labour issues, motivation and incentives. The market economy makes it more productive, better quality, more effective.
