Management Of Motivation
I think it's important to want a lot. The more stimulating the action, the higher the activity and the better the result. But that is not true: the best results are achieved at a certain level of motivation, not at the highest level.
Bad motivation is not enough for success, redundant is bad. It creates unnecessary stirring and fuss. Management of motivation - skills that would benefit in any way, whether in foreign languages, misery or business.
I think it's important to want a lot. The stronger the push for action, the higher the activity and the better the result. But it's not. American psychologists Robert Yers and John Dodson (Robert Yerkes, John Dodson) have proven that the best results are achieved at a certain level of motivation, not at the highest level. This pattern was established during an unsuccessful experiment.* The participants were offered puzzles for which the cash rewards had been applied. The amount of the prize has gradually increased: at the outset, each decision of the testee was paid a small coin (which did not represent almost any material interest), then the remuneration reached an impressive amount, which was extremely attractive. It turns out that for a purely symbolic gain, the experiment was poor and their results were low. As the awards increased, the enthusiasm and the results were improved accordingly. However, at a certain point when the gains had reached a significant level, the enthusiasm had been overwhelmed and the results had declined. Since then, the higher the award has been, the less it has been possible to obtain it: all thoughts have focused on the amount of the loan, which has hindered the task.
Go through the tests. The main findings of the Yersa-Dodson Act, which can help to achieve the objectives:- High motivation is not a high-quality assurance. On the contrary, getting to the cause with a fanatic's emotion means reducing the chances of success. For any activity, there is an optimum balance of motivation, it is important to try to respect it. - The more difficult the task to be accomplished, the less our level of optimum motivation. It's worth taking into account when you think about getting involved.
