As a result of the study of theoretical aspects staff motivation system In enterprises, motivation has been identified as an important function of management and as part of staff management. The article found that the essence of the motivation process was the combination and interrelationship of such elements as motivation, need, incentives and others. It has been identified that there is no single approach in the presentation of the principles of staff motivation, and it is suggested that the study build on the W.M. Maslav list of principles of formation. The main purpose of motivation is defined and the main motivating functions (induction, direction, control) are presented.
