Types Of Motivation Of Staff

Виды мотивации сотрудниковMore and more, in books or on TV, we hear "modification is important," "humans to motivate" and so on. But it usually doesn't work. Many managers do not understand motivational theories or motivations.

We decided to raise all types of motivation in one article and to brief each of them.

The motivations of staff members are divided into:

Material/intangible, positive/descriptive, corporate/individual and other.

1. Material motivation and intangible (non-monetary) motivation.

Material is monetary motivation (premises, promises of salary increases, etc.)

Intangibles are contests, billboards and stuff like that.

2. Positive motivation and negative (negative)

The positive thing is, "do well and get candy."

Negative is if you don't do well, you won't watch cartoons.

3. Corporate motivation, group and individual

I don't think you need to be very clear here.

Corporate motivation is a company-level motivation system (or large-scale subsidiaries, missions)

Group motivation is the motivation of a limited group (division, department, sector, project-specific working group, etc.)

Individual motivation is the motivation of the individual

4. External motivation and self-reliance

The outside is when the manager motivates his employees. I mean, motivating factors are "from outside."

Self-motivating is when an employee is motivated by himself. They also call internal motivation.

5. Types of motivation depending on profession

The motivation of sellers, the motivation of waiters, the motivation of accountants, etc., are all different motivations.

Why do you need to know the type of motivation of staff?

Without an understanding of the theoretical framework, a substitute working motivation system cannot be developed. That's not real. Accordingly, in preparing a motivational system or even a separate motivational statement to a group of staff, it is important to understand the type of motivation that should be applied.
