Management practices for staff adaptation should be applied in any enterprise. Each new worker is undergoing a process of adaptation when he starts to work for a particular enterprise or firm.
Types of adaptation of the worker
Adaptation is a means of living. This function is aimed at creating stability and balance. Social adaptation is the period when a newcomer enters a social environment. The period of incorporation of the staff member is referred to as productive adaptation.
The result of the adaptation of the worker to the organization is that the environment in the company and the worker is considered to be the subject of adaptation. This situation is not absolute, as the working conditions and needs of staff are constantly changing.
Professional adaptation includes learning, skills, opportunities and competencies. On the one hand, vocational adaptation is an adaptation of the worker to the requirements of the post and, on the other hand, to the working conditions of the worker ' s psychophysiological capacity.
Steps and outcome
Professional adaptation includes two stages. At first, the worker has a positive view of the type of activity, conditions and mode of operation. In the second phase, the staff member acquires skills and knowledge in the performance of his/her duties, which enables him/her to be rapidly guided in the workplace.
Psychophysical adaptation means adapting the worker to new physical and mental changes. Environmental factors in the enterprise affect self-reliance, mood, capacity, health. These factors include monotony of work, mode of work, job ease.
