Human security: risks real or perceived?
In most companies, it is accepted that everyone should be involved in their own business: human security, security, recruitment and separation of staff, and the adaptation of new staff should be addressed by their immediate managers, sometimes involving HR specialists.
In reality, many security issues arise at each stage of staff work. Ideally, such issues should be addressed in close cooperation with the security services. In fact, this is happening as much as possible, and interaction, if it does, is rarely adequate. The reason is the lack of awareness among staff and management of their own role in human security. Such an approach entails omissions that cause many problems: fraud, disclosure of confidential information, other destructive intentions, etc.
